Department of State Issues Visa Interview Waiver Update

February 20, 2025

On February 18, 2025, the Department of State updated the categories of visa applicants that may be eligible for a waiver of the nonimmigrant visa interview.

This new guidance supersedes the Interview Waiver Update of December 21, 2023.
