Tomasz R. Tuleja

Tomasz is the Assistant Director for Compliance at Columbia’s American Language Program (ALP) and a member of the ISSO Compliance Team. In his role, he provides F-1 visa documentation and advising services to ALP international students as well as newly admitted F-1 students belonging to the Morningside campus. Tomasz helps both populations of students navigate the US immigration system, ensuring that their visa compliance adheres to the highest of standards.

Tomasz has promoted international education for over 14 years through his work in academia and vocational schools. He is heavily involved in NAFSA, as both a mentor and member of its Trainer Corps. He holds three degrees: an Ed.M. from Columbia’s Teachers College, an M.P.A. from New York University and a B.B.A. from Baruch College. 

Tomasz has lived abroad in Poland, so he is well-versed in matters international students who plan to study abroad may face. In his free time, Tomasz enjoys learning Spanish and collecting sand samples from his various travels.
