Join ISSO to learn more about local NYC history, art, and culture during a visit to the National Museum of the American Indian in lower Manhattan. Who lived in New York before it was "New York"? How have indigenous communities contributed to, and been impacted by, the changing physical and social landscape of the city throughout time? Let's explore the museum's current exhibitions to discover stories of Native New Yorkers that reveal how New York is—and always has been—a Native place.
Itinerary:
**All registrants will be sent a link to an ISSO WhatsApp group to help coordinate and meet up before, during, and after the event. ISSO encourages participants to independently organize lunch/ coffee or other activities with fellow participants after the scheduled itinerary.
