Are you an international CU faculty member, researcher, postdoc, staff or trainee? Are you looking to meet peers and make new friends across different schools and departments? Join ISSO's monthly evening social event ("night out") to help build connections and community!
Join ISSO this month to mingle and enjoy a classic Hollywood movie in one of NYC's famous architectural landmarks: the breathtaking United Palace Theater. Together, we will watch Sunset Boulevard, a 1950 fim about a screenwriter who develops a dangerous relationship with a faded film star from the past. This black-and-white film is rated as #12 on the American Film Institute's list of The 100 Greatest American Movies Of All Time, and ISSO is providing tickets to a limited number of CU international scholars for the discounted price of $5.
Itinerary:
- 6:00pm: Meet at ISSO Morningside to travel together by MTA (*optional)
- 6:45pm: Meet at the United Palace theater *Please do not register for this event if there is a chance you will arrive after 7:20pm.
- 7:30pm: Film starts
- After 9:30pm: Option to continue socializing**
**All registrants will be sent an invitation to an ISSO WhatsApp group for this event to help coordinate and meet up before, during, and after the event. ISSO encourages participants to independently organize dinner or other activities before or after the scheduled itinerary.
