Join us for a free concert at the historic Cathedral of St. John the Divine as two outstanding artists — conductor Enluis Montes Olivar and trumpeter Pacho Flores — make their New York Philharmonic debuts. This special concert features Elgar’s lyrical Serenade for Strings, late-Baroque master Neruda’s Trumpet Concerto, and Beethoven’s exhilarating Symphony No. 2.
This event is free, but TICKETS ARE REQUIRED. Tickets will be available beginning May 1 at 10 AM. Please check back here for details.
**UPDATE: THE CONCERT IS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT, BUT ANY ADDITIONAL TICKETS WILL BE RELEASED HERE AT 12PM ON TUES. MAY 12. We recommend setting an alarm on your phone, as these tickets may be claimed quickly.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT ISSO IS NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN TICKETING FOR THIS EVENT. In order to attend the concert with your ISSO friends, there is a TWO (2)- STEP process:
Itinerary:
- 6:00 PM Meet at ISSO Morningside to walk to the venue together (optional)
- 6:10 PM Meet at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine to wait in line together**
- 7:00 PM Concert begins
- 8:15 PM Concert ends
- After 8:15 PM: ISSO encourages participants to independently organize dinner or other activities after the performance
**This event is open to the public, and expected to be extremely popular. ISSO staff will not be able to hold a spot in line, nor a seat inside the venue, for anyone who arrives separately from the group.
