Join ISSO staff throughout the summer of 2026 on a number of excursions and experiences in and around New York City, the greatest city in the world! Experience the city as locals do. Explore the celebrations, festivals, markets, and happenings this summer in NYC with ISSO staff and members of the Columbia University international community. Spouses and families of CU international students and scholars are welcome to join!

The month of June celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride in the U.S. and in many places around the world to recognize the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community (Learn more here). The inaugural Pride March took place in 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising, and has since evolved into an annual civil rights demonstration. Its purpose has expanded over time to encompass raising awareness about the fight against AIDS and honoring those we have lost to illness, violence, and neglect. ISSO will join the larger Columbia University group and walk together in the parade!

ISSO will arrange a meeting place for all who are marching with us. Everyone is responsible for their own MTA subway ticket and any purchases made throughout the day. Detailed instructions will be shared with those who sign-up! We hope you can join.!
