This tax webinar is sponsored by ISSO and hosted by Sprintax. ISSO partners with Sprintax to provide tax preparation software for Columbia University international students and scholars in F or J status. This informational webinar will cover:

  • An overview of tax for nonresident students and scholars
  • Who must file a 2025 U.S. tax return
  • The April 15, 2026, tax return deadline and issues with late filing
  • What income statements students/scholars may receive
  • Forms that need to be completed and submitted to the IRS
  • Terms like FICA, ITIN and Form 1098-T
  • What happens if students/scholars don’t file, or misfile
  • State tax returns
  • Passive investments (stocks, crypto currency, etc.)
  • Sprintax overview
