Update to Visa Reciprocity Agreements

July 08, 2025

On July 8th, 2025, the U.S. Department of State updated its visa reciprocity agreements, which may impact both the duration during which an entry visa may be used and the number of entries to the U.S. the visa allows. This means that students and scholars from certain countries may now receive U.S. visas that are valid for a shorter period and allow fewer entries than before, potentially requiring more frequent visa applications or delays to travel plans.
