ISSO Leadership Lounge
Hosted every fall and spring semester, the ISSO Leadership Lounge brings together leaders of registered international student groups to share experiences, build leadership skills, and foster collaboration. It offers a dedicated space to connect with fellow group leaders and strengthen your partnership with the ISSO.
Note: Attendance is required for student groups seeking or receiving ISSO partnership or co-sponsorship funding.
ISSO Partnership and Event Co-Sponsorship
Registered international student groups may partner with and/or request financial co-sponsorship from ISSO for programs and events that promote, celebrate, and share the international cultures of the Columbia University international student community.
Partnerships
- Purpose: Engage the campus community by hosting an interactive table during the ISSO Cultural Fair.
- Use of Funds: Materials and supplies for table engagement activities.
- Requirement: Must align with overall ISSO Cultural Fair programming.
- Purpose: Host a program, event, or activity during annual International Education Week (mid-November).
- Use of Funds: Materials, supplies, and event management costs (e.g., AV, catering).
- Requirement: Must align with overall ISSO IEW programming.
Co-Sponsorships
- Purpose: Launch a new initiative/program or significantly enhance an existing event.
- Use of Funds: Materials, supplies, and event management costs (e.g., AV, catering).
- Considerations: Priority is given to first-time concepts, new collaborations with other student groups/departments, or added interactive elements.
- Limit: Maximum of 2 grants per student group per academic year.

Activities Board at Columbia (ABC) is part of Columbia’s student government. It is responsible for recognizing and funding student groups on the Morningside campus. They work to enhance the student organizational community.
Interschool Governing Board (IGB) is dedicated to supporting Morningside student organizations’ efforts to bridge gaps between various academic disciplines at Columbia by creating a dynamic sense of community that facilitates multi-disciplinary programming and dialogue.
Student clubs at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) support a wide range of interests while students pursue their graduate degrees.
