Undergraduate Instruction will be 100% Online in Fall 2020

August 14, 2020

Today President Bollinger announced that all undergraduate instruction in fall 2020 will be 100% online.

How does this affect international undergraduate students?

Continuing undergraduate students

Continuing students who enroll full-time in the fall will maintain their F-1 status and continue their program of study fully online, whether they are in the United States or they are abroad. If abroad, they are eligible to enter the U.S. for the fall term or apply for a new visa if needed in the future.

Newly admitted undergraduate students who are abroad

New incoming undergraduate students are not eligible to apply for an F-1 student visa or to enter the U.S. to enroll in a program that is 100% online per SEVP policy. Students may study online while abroad in Fall 2020.

More information is available at the  ISSO COVID-19 and Fall 2020 Hub.

ISSO will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, August 18th at 9:00 AM, and sent an email to all international undergraduates with a link to register.
