Biden Rescinds Current COVID-19 Travel Bans as of November 8th

October 26, 2021

Through a Presidential Proclamation issued October 25, 2021, President Biden is ending the travel restrictions of individuals traveling to the U.S. from Brazil, China, India, Iran, Ireland, the Schengen Area, South Africa, and the United Kingdom at 12:01 AM EST on November 8, 2021. This means that National Interest Exemptions (NIEs) are no longer required. In place of these restrictions, noncitizen nonimmigrant adult travelers by air to the U.S. are required to show proof of full vaccination and a negative result to a COVID-19 test taken no more than 3 days before departure. Limited exceptions apply.
