Are you the spouse/ partner of an international student or scholar at Columbia University? Are you looking for an opportunity to practice your English listening, reading, and speaking skills, while building connections with other spouses/ partners in the ISSO community? ISSO is pleased to announce an informal English movie club this summer, meeting for a 10am film on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Please note that dates/ times may change, based on showtime availability. All films will have English language subtitles.

ISSO aims to build connections and English confidence for our ISSO families. As such, preference will be given to accompanying spouses/ partners of CU international students and scholars. Any extra tickets may be opened to other members of the ISSO community.
Participants will meet at AMC Empire 25 Theater. After the film, we will pair off into smaller groups to discuss questions based on the ideas/ themes of the movie. ISSO will offer limited free tickets for each showing. Participants are responsible for all other costs, including transportation to/ from the theater, and any food or beverage.
