[ISSO GLASS] Why Smart Teams Still Underperform

April 3, 2026
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
America/New_York
Hamilton Hall, 1130 Amsterdam Ave., New York, NY 10027 717

Today's workplace is the most age-diverse in history — five generations working side by side, each bringing distinct values, communication styles, and definitions of leadership. The friction this creates is real. But so is the opportunity. This workshop reframes generational diversity not as a management challenge to survive, but as a strategic multiplier to activate.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Read the room — understand what drives, motivates, and frustrates each generation
  • Kill the assumptions — challenge the stereotypes that quietly undermine collaboration
  • Flex to lead — adapt communication and leadership style for cross-generational impact
  • Close the gaps — reduce misread feedback, misaligned authority norms, and work-style friction before they become disengagement
  • Build trust that sticks — apply the 5 Cs of Trust: Clarity, Connection, Care, Candor, and Courage
  • Turn difference into advantage — leverage diverse generational perspectives to sharpen strategy and accelerate execution
  • Keep every generation in the game — motivate and engage across age groups to unlock full team performance
