ISSO Faculty & Researcher Night Out: Festival Chamber Music

May 14, 2026
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
America/New_York
Off-campus

Are you an international CU faculty member, researcher, postdoc, staff or trainee? Are you looking to meet peers and make new friends across different schools and departments? Join ISSO's monthly evening social event ("night out") to help build connections and community!

Join ISSO this month to enjoy professional-level classical music in an intimate, beginner-friendly environment! Since 1987, Festival Chamber Music has sought to present chamber music of the highest quality in a way that is accessible to everyone regardless of previous experience. All concerts are housed in Weill Hall at the world-famous Carnegie Hall, and before each piece is performed, the artists speak informally in an effort to create a warm connection with the audience. Following each concert, the audience is invited to a party where they can meet the artists and socialize with other audience members.

Check back here for the specific pieces that will be performed on the night of May 14. ISSO is providing a limited number of FREE tickets for CU international faculty, researchers, postdocs, staff, and trainees.

Itinerary:

  • 7:00pm: Meet at ISSO Morningside to travel together by MTA (*optional)
  • Before 7:40pm: Meet outside Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall
  • 8:00pm: Performance begins
  • After the Performance: Option to continue socializing**

**All registrants will be sent an invitation to an ISSO WhatsApp group for this event to help coordinate and meet up before, during, and after the event. ISSO encourages participants to independently organize dinner or other activities after the scheduled itinerary has finished. For this specific event, registrants are highly encouraged to attend the post-concert party hosted by Festival Chamber Music, where they can meet the performers!

After (free) ISSO tickets run out, interested attendees can still purchase their own discounted ticket to the performance by clicking here and using the code CU2526 for 50% off. These discounted tickets are $25 (regularly $50).
