Joseph Hanson

Joseph is the Program Manager. In his role as part of the Programming team, he assists in developing programs designed to promote leadership and professional development training as well as to build community and support the overall success of Columbia’s international student population.

Joseph holds an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Columbia’s School of Professional Studies and a B.S. in Business Administration. Prior to Columbia, Joseph worked for nearly a decade at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre: a government agency tasked with the curation of programs and the creation of multicultural content showcasing Ghana as a premier investment destination.

Joseph was born in Lagos, Nigeria and was raised in both the Bahamas and Ghana. Having lived most of his life abroad, he relates on a personal level to the international community he serves. In his free time, he enjoys listening to sports podcasts. His favorite spot near campus is the Hungarian Pastry Shop, where he maintains you will find some of the most delicious Cheesecake in all of NYC.
