NGO Briefings by the United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI) are being made available to the international community at Columbia University as guests of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The May 3rd briefing is titled Celebrating World Press Freedom Day. International student Journalists are especially encouraged to volunteer to serve on a panel for World Press Freedom Day.
Coordinators for the briefings will take RSVPs, arrange UN security passes for guests, meet as a group at the UN, and escort everyone into the room for the briefing. Afterwards, the coordinators will show Columbia guests where they can eat lunch at the UN (on their own), and visit the bookstore and gift shops.
