Presidential Proclamation Suspends Entry to the US from Brazil

This proclamation, predicated on the risk of transmitting novel coronavirus, suspends the entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within the Federative Republic of Brazil during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry. The suspension, amended to an effective date of May 27, 2020 from May 28, 2020, does not apply to any lawful permanent resident or spouse of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States. Refer to Section 2 of the proclamation for the list of other categories for whom the suspension and limitation of entry does not apply.
