The International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) is hosting an International Scholar Panel Discussion, in which two international scholars at Columbia will share their research with the academic community. Topic: Crime Prevention and Digital Migration: Perspectives in International Affairs and Media Studies. Speakers: Sandra Ponzanesi is a visiting professor at Columbia University, Department of English and Comparative Literature and full professor of Gender and Postcolonial Studies at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Her research focuses on comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives on colonialism/post-colonialism, migration studies and question of identity across borders and media. Gustavo Macedo is a Visiting Research Scholar at the Columbia Global Policy Initiative (CGPI) and at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University.
