This ISSO sponsored workshop is the first of two-sessions. It will focus on helping you improve your intelligibility and your understanding of how spoken English “works” as a system. We will practice various problematic pronunciation issues and, more importantly, how this system works beyond the individual sound level, including word stress, clause stress, strategic pauses, and connected speech. The focus will be on providing you with a way to move forward on your own. Please come with pronunciation difficulties that you experience. The second session will be on May 10th. Both sessions will be from 2 to 3:30 PM.
Dr. Nancy Boblett, Language Program Management Certificate Program Instructor at Teachers College, will present both sessions.
We will send a Zoom link the day before the session.
