This Town Hall moderated by Dr. Julie Kornfeld, Vice Provost for Academic Programs, includes the following updates:

Dr. Wafaa El-Sadr, founder and director of ICAP and Director of Columbia World Projects, gives an update on vaccine approval, availability and distribution worldwide as well as an update on variants and their impact globally.

Dr. Donna Lynne, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the CEO of Columbia Doctors, offers an update on vaccine availability in New York for Columbia faculty, staff, and students as well as what is being considered in terms of vaccine policy for fall, including the possibility of mandatory vaccination.

Dr. Melanie Bernitz, Senior Vice President for Global Health, give a status update on Columbia Health on campus, the importance of continued adherence with other public health preventive measures on and off campus, as well as plans for fall in terms of testing and vaccination on campus.
